Bus Services

There is a bus service through the village on market days operated by Damory Coaches, who provide a service on Tuesdays and Saturdays to Salisbury Market. Route 301 starts at Wimborne, via Verwood, Cranborne, Alderholt, Damerham and Martin to Salisbury. Leaving Damerham at 10.10 a.m., the bus arrives in Salisbury at 10.45.

The return journeys are at 13.30 on Tuesdays and 14.00 on Saturdays, with a journey time of just under half an hour.

There is also a school bus service operated by Wilts & Dorset Bus Company that links the catchment area with primary and secondary schools in the area.

Taxi Share

There is a taxi share in Damerham which operates six days a week, Monday to Saturday, collecting you from your home address and taking you into Fordingbridge town centre.

The taxi share will arrive in Fordingbridge for 10 a.m. and return at both 12 noon and 13.45 p.m. Passengers can arrange to be collected from their home address and dropped off on Salisbury Street by the old Post Office.

The drop off point on Salisbury Street in Fordingbridge, gives passengers the opportunity to catch the 10.13 a.m. X3 (Wilts and Dorset) bus on to Salisbury. Passengers can return from Salisbury on the 13.10 p.m. X3 to Fordingbridge and transfer back onto the taxi share which departs at 13.45 p.m.

To travel on the taxi share passengers must book a seat in advance by telephoning 0845 602 4135 (lines open 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.). Making the booking doesn't take long and is charged at local rates, so won't cost you more than telephoning a friend!
