Planning Issues

Much of Damerham is a conservation area, full details (including a map) are on the NFDC web site:

There are links on that site to explanations of what a conservation area is and the consequences of living in such an area.

For example you may not prune or fell trees in a Conservation Area without permission:

Trees in a conservation area have the same protection as those covered by Tree Preservation Orders. It is an offence to fell or prune such trees without prior written consent from the Council.

Damerham is also within the Cranborne & West Wiltshire Downs Area Of Outstanding Natural Beauty. You can obtain more information from the web site:

There are regulations about the siting of satellite dishes which apply to listed buildings and houses in “designated areas” (conservation areas and Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty). If you need advice on the siting of a satellite dish you might like to consult NFDC Planning on 0238038 5343. A useful document can be found at the following:

The siting of a satellite dish is your responsibility, not that of the aerial fitter.
